Why is it that so many people highly suffer from the change of the season. Professionals state that Spring and Summer are the times of higher hospital admissions, specially for BAD sufferers, when most go manic. But if we were to watch the case by the chronobiology aspects rather than the psychiatric one people wouldn't end up recurring to tranquilizers or sleeping pills or to enormous amounts of coffee to stay awake during the day. In fact there is no need of having a label of mental disorder of any sort for suffering consequences due to lack of sleep.
All it takes might be simply making small changes in our lifestyle and respect and restore our internal body clocks.
